Saukville Youth Baseball: Divisions

SYB Divisions

T-Ball:  T-Ball is generally for 4 and 5 year old boys and girls, not yet in kindergarten. This league will provide an introduction to the basic fundamentals of baseball, primarily hitting and fielding skills. The T-Ball season usually starts the first week of June and runs through July.  Practices/Games are Tue/Thurs from 6pm-7pm at Quade Park.

Coach Pitch:  Coach Pitch is generally for 6 and 7 year old boys and girls in kindergarten and/or first grade.  This league will continue to develop the basic fundamentals that were introduced in T-Ball.  Batters will hit against pitches thrown by a pitching machine.  Modified baseball rules are used to prepare players for the transition to the Traveling Rookies league. The Coach Pitch season usually starts the first week of June and runs through July.  Practice/games are Tue/Thur from 7pm-8pm at Quade Park.

Traveling Rookies:  Traveling Rookies are for 7 and 8 year old boys and girls.  No player may be over the age of 8 as of September 1st of the calendar year (You cannot turn 9 during the baseball season.)   The Rookies partner with the Grafton Little League Rookie program.  Batters hit against pitches thrown by a pitching machine. Slightly modified baseball rules apply, including the use of strikes and outs.  Learning is still the key, with a score being kept.

Traveling Minors:  Traveling Minors is for 9 and 10 year old boys and girls.  Players cannot turn 11 prior to May 1st of the calendar year.  This team will play in the Kettle Moraine League.  Traveling and competing against teams from surrounding communities and will feature live player pitching, along with most other regular baseball rules.  This is the introduction to competetive baseball.

2016 Kettle Moraine Minor (Midget) League Baseball Rules – KML Minor (Midget) League Rules 2016

Traveling Little League:  Traveling Little League is for 11 and 12 year old boys and girls.  Players cannot turn 13 prior to May 1st of the calendar year.  This team will play in the Kettle Moraine League, traveling and competing against teams from surrounding communities.  These games will be more competitive than those in Recreation Leagues, and feature live player pitching and base stealing, along with most regular baseball rules.  For any questions, please contact Coach Kowalko

Traveling Pony League:  Traveling Pony League is for players completing the 7th and 8th grades.  This team will play in the Mid Shore League, traveling and competing against teams from surrounding communities.  These games feature live player pitching, lead-offs and base stealing, along with most regular baseball rules.
