2025-Summer Registration – Rookies (Age 7 & 8)

Traveling Rookies are for 7 and 8 year old boys and girls. No player may be over the age of 8 as of September 1st of the calendar year (You cannot turn 9 during the baseball season.) The Rookies partner with the Grafton Little League Rookie program. Batters hit against pitches thrown by a pitching machine. Slightly modified baseball rules apply, including the use of strikes and outs. Learning is still the key, with a score being kept.

Practices are held in Saukville, games will be played at the Grafton Little League Fields
Please click the “SYB Agreement Document” tab to review all necessary documents. You will be required at checkout to confirm these documents were reviewed.. Additional paperwork will need to be completed for the Grafton League. This paperwork will be distributed and collected after the registration process.

SYB / GLL Rookies Summary of Charges and Related Notes:

Saukville Youth Baseball offers an option for 7 & 8 year olds to participate as a Saukville Team in the Grafton Rookies League. This league has shown to be a great stepping stone for our experienced players, exposing them to a fairly competitive league. In an agreement with the Grafton Baseball League, our Saukville teams will not be participating in the Grafton Year End Of Year Tournament, we are only eligible for the season play.  Grafton reduces their standard fee by $20 per player since SYB IS NOT included in their tournament.

If you feel your 7/8 year old is not ready for this type of league they are still eligible for our SYB Coach Pitch Program.

PLAYERS MUST NOT BE OLDER THEN 8 AS OF 9/1/2025

A small surcharge has been added to the Saukville Registration. This goes towards the cost of the Village of Saukville field time costs, insurance, and additional gear. Our separate registration also allows our children to participate as a Saukville team.

Registration costs include a team t-shirt and hat that is supplied through the Grafton league.

Volunteer options will be:
  • Head Coach
  • Assistant Coach (total of 4 coaches per team for Rookies)

Parents and Players are required to review the SYB Agreement Documents.
